A report should help you make decisions
Receiving a fire risk assessment is the start of a conversation about your property. A finding may identify a defect clearly but leave you uncertain about who should address it, what evidence is needed, or how to turn the recommendation into a sensible works brief. Asking the original assessor is a useful first step. If you need independent clarification, our new one-off services provide another route.
Choose the level of help
Understand Your FRA costs £95 for an agreed scope. It explains significant findings and relevant report context, with written priorities and next steps. FRA Action Plan & Budget starts at £195 and adds an action schedule, suitable trades and indicative costs where the evidence permits. Detailed FRA Second Opinion & Cost Plan starts at £295 and examines the complete report and supplied evidence for apparent inconsistencies, omissions and points needing clarification. No VAT is added.
Agree the work before you pay
Upload your PDF through an approved client portal, choose a package and explain the question you need answered. Darren J Young MIFSM confirms suitability, scope, final price and delivery date. You can then read the quote in your portal and decide whether to accept and make a one-off Stripe payment. The starting scope is one straightforward HMO or small commercial property, an FRA of up to 50 pages and up to ten significant findings. More complex instructions are quoted separately.
Know the limits of a desktop review
The written response is based on what you supply. It does not verify unseen building conditions, replace an FRA, certify compliance or sign off remedial work. Where more evidence or a visit is needed, the response explains that. Indicative budgets are planning estimates; a firm contractor quotation is a separate proposal. Do not delay urgent action identified in your report while waiting for advice.
Your response stays in your portfolio
When the review is complete, you receive an email and download the written response from your portal. One follow-up clarification on the same agreed scope is included. Free document access remains available without a membership. Monthly Advice and Portfolio memberships remain separate services for ongoing focused questions.
