FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS
For offices, shops, industrial units and specialist workplaces. A scope shaped around how your business uses its premises.
SCOPE COMES FIRST
Experience includes laboratory assessments through USC for TDL premises and assessment and training work for BritNed.
We agree the inspection scope, access arrangements and available records before the visit. The report identifies limitations as well as findings, so you know what was assessed.

Ignition sources, combustible materials and the risks associated with the site’s use.
The visible fire protection measures and arrangements for escape and evacuation.
The available testing, maintenance, training and emergency planning records.
WHAT YOU GET
The value is in understanding the findings and knowing what to address.
How a finding can be presented—not an actual client report.
Remove stored items from the designated route and include the area in routine management checks.
Arrange competent inspection where the condition of a doorset needs closer examination.
A STRAIGHTFORWARD PROCESS
Understand the scope, the visit and the report before you book.
Share the address, use, size and any concerns. We confirm the scope and quote.
Agree access and gather the available fire safety records for the visit.
Your report records what was assessed, significant findings and the recommended actions.
Ask questions about the report and discuss any further inspection or training needs.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Need to discuss a particular building?
Speak to Darren J Young MIFSMA written fire risk assessment recording the agreed scope, accessible areas, significant findings and a prioritised action plan. We explain the findings so you can understand the next steps.
We quote for your premises rather than offering one price for every building. Size, occupancy, use, complexity, travel and the agreed scope all affect the quote.
Where available, gather your previous FRA, floor plans, alarm and emergency lighting records, fire door records and emergency arrangements. We will confirm what is useful when agreeing the visit.
An FRA needs regular review and updating following significant changes. The appropriate review arrangements depend on the premises and risk; we discuss these with you. See the government’s five-step checklist for the general duty.
An FRA reviews fire protection within its agreed scope. A dedicated fire door survey provides a more detailed inspection of individual doorsets. We can discuss whether separate inspection work is appropriate.
Yes—tell us about the portfolio, locations and property types. We can discuss a coordinated approach while keeping each premises’ findings clearly identified.
