RIDDOR - Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013.  RIDDOR puts duties on employers, the self-employed and people in control of work premises (the Responsible Person) to report certain serious workplace accidents, occupational diseases and specified dangerous occurrences (near misses).

From 1 October 2013 the revised Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR 2013) come into force.

RIDDOR is the law that requires employers, and other people in charge of work premises, to report and keep records of work-related accidents which cause deaths, work-related accidents which cause certain serious injuries (reportable injuries), diagnosed cases of certain industrial diseases and certain ‘dangerous occurrences’ (incidents with the potential to cause harm).

What Will I Learn?

 

Our online RIDDOR course will help the learner understand the necessary requirements starting with an introduction of what RIDDOR stands for, legislation, explanation of types of incidents that must be reported and how to submit these reports following guidelines and regulations.  On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Be aware of what is reportable under RIDDOR

  • Be aware of the various methods of reporting

  • Be familiar with the roles and responsibilities

Who Should Complete This Course?

​

All employers and people who are in control of premises (the responsible person) must make a report under RIDDOR in case of an accident and so should have adequate knowledge of the regulations. This course covers all aspects of the RIDDOR legislation so that the responsible person understands when, why and how to make a suitable report.

Assessment

​

Our training material is accessible at a time that suits you and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete followed by the online assessment where you will then complete a multiple choice question paper. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass first time you can take the test as many times as you need with no further costs.

​

Certification

​

On successful completion of your course you will be able to download and print your 12 month certificate.  This course provides you with an accredited CPD Certificate that can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
