MANUAL HANDLING - OBJECTS - ONLINE CPD COURSE
In 2015/2016 an estimated 4.5 million working days were lost due to self-reported workplace injuries, therefore on average 7.2 working days per injury were lost. According to self-reports 621,000 workers sustained a non-fatal injury at work consisting of lifting or carrying (20%), slipping or tripping (19%), and being hit by a moving object (10%). 144 workers were killed as a result of a workplace accident.

Regulations
​
As an employer you must comply with the risk assessment requirements set out in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 as well as the requirement in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) to carry out a risk assessment on manual handling tasks. You must also review your assessments if they become out of date or if the tasks they refer to change. If you are an employee, you must make full use of any safe system of manual handling your employer puts in place.

The manual handling course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load of items by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving.

Assessment
​
Our training material is accessible at a time that suits you and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete followed by the online assessment where you will then complete a multiple choice question paper. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass first time you can take the test as many times as you need with no further costs.

Certification
​
On successful completion of your course you will be able to download and print your 12 month certificate. This course provides you with an accredited CPD Certificate that can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
