In the event of injury or sudden illness, failure to provide first aid could result in a casualty’s death. Employers should ensure that an employee who is injured or taken ill at work receives immediate attention.

Regulations
​
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, training, information and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.
If you are self employed you are required to ensure you have such equipment, as may be adequate and appropriate in the circumstances, to provide first aid to yourself while at work.

What Will I Learn?

This online First Aid at Work course is suitable as an annual refresher for people
who are designated as a First Aider in the workplace, a person supporting a qualified First Aid at Work person, for an employee as part of an induction programme or any person wishing to gain knowledge and confidence in a first aid emergency.

Assessment
​
Our training material is accessible at a time that suits you and takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete followed by the online assessment where you will then complete a multiple choice question paper. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass first time you can take the test as many times as you need with no further costs.

Certification
​
On successful completion of your course you will be able to download and print your 12 month certificate. This course provides you with an accredited CPD Certificate that can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
