COSHH ONLINE CPD COURSE
Every year, thousands of workers become ill from working with hazardous substances. This can include contracting types of cancer, skin diseases such as dermatitis, or lung diseases including asthma.
Most businesses use substances, or products that are mixtures of substances. Some processes create substances. These could cause harm to employees, contractors and other people. Sometimes substances are easily recognised as harmful. Common substances such as paint, bleach or dust from natural materials may also be harmful.
COSHH is the law that requires employers to control substances that are hazardous to health. Employers are legally obligated to comply with the COSHH regulations 2002 and the 2004 amendment.
