Fire

Fire is one of the major hazards in the workplace. Surprisingly one of the biggest causes of fires in the workplace is arson. An astonishing 365 work premises in the UK are targeted by arsonist each week and statistically 80% of UK businesses who are affected by fire are forced into liquidation within 18 months.

Many fires in the work place can be prevented from spreading by tackling the fire in the early stages. Do you and your staff know the correct procedures to be taken in the event of a fire? Do you and your staff know what type of fire extinguishers to use on the different classes of fires?

Under current fire legislation employers are required to provide training in the actions to be taken in the event of fire.
