Novas Group (Winner of the Charity Times’ Charity of the Year Award 2007) is very happy with the level of service that 1st Aid Fire has provided for us. In light of the fantastic comments that we have received from our staff who have attended the Fire Marshal courses, we have also now commissioned 1st Aid Fire to deliver our Emergency First Aid for Appointed Persons and 4-day First Aid at Work courses across all three of our regional areas in London, the Northwest and the Southwest.

We had been looking for some time for someone to undertake a fire risk assessment and deliver training for us. There are a number of firms out there doing just that - but we had to have confidence in whoever we used. Simon immediately convinced me that he knew what he was doing, it was reassuring to know that he had been a firefighter himself.

The Fire Risk Assessment process was excellent, it highlighted the areas where we needed to take action but more importantly Simon gave practical advice and assistance in making sure we were compliant.

The documentation that we were given makes the process very clear and easy and has given us confidence in our recording.

The training was superb. We received really good feedback from the staff that attended, not only did they come away with a much greater awareness of fire safety, they also really enjoyed it - particularly the practical extinguisher training! Those who went on to complete the Fire Marshall training now take their duties very seriously and I am confident that our procedures are very much improved because of it.

I will be using 1st Aid Fire in the future for both training and risk assessment. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a provider.

Alpha Care is a domiciliary care provider based in Thirsk North Yorkshire. We cover a wide area, working with Social Services and private service users. In order to comply with CSCI legislation there are many mandatory training courses our support workers attend.
Since taking over as Manager in January 2008 I have worked closely with 1st Aid Fire regarding these courses. They have provided training on various subjects. First Aid, Health and Safety Induction and Manual Handling. They also provide Fire Marshal training but as yet this has not been arranged.
The courses provided by 1st Aid Fire have been interesting, informative, concise and pitched at the correct level for office requirements. The handouts, booklets and certificates are professionally put together and have been appreciated by the staff that have taken part in the training. Feedback from my staff has been positive and follow up communication from 1st Aid Fire has been helpful.
As well as the training courses 1st Aid Fire have also carried out a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment on the premises and have provided me with excellent recommendations and necessary paperwork.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to another provider. I have found them to be extremely helpful and approachable.

Just a quick note to say thank you for delivering the excellent Basic Fire-Fighting and First Aid at Work training to us all at Marchwood Power Limited in June 2008.
